Bryan Shen is a Professional Counsellor, Lecturer, Trainer and Supervisor registered with the SAC. He is also an independent Lay Missionary for 21 years in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines. His works include dealing with Catholics, Christians and seminarians. Bryan will be touching on how family and social factors may affect a child during developmental stages and influence their attractions and identity development. The session will be broken up into 3 zoom sessions, all 8pm to 10pm, on the following dates, and the topics covered are indicated below.

NOTE: PART 1 IS COMPULSORY IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND PART 2 AND 3

To have more time for Q & A, we recommend you read Bryan’s book “The Unaffirmed Core” so you can get a deeper understanding during the sessions as we are compacting the session into 3 parts. You can order the book via Armour Publishing or the eBook version is also available.

PLEASE NOTE: This talk is not pro – nor anti-LGBT, but provides insights from the Psychological Sciences into the lives of people who experience homosexuality in conservative communities. The talk explains why the condition is not chosen by the person who has it, the factors that contribute to it, the various ways harm can be done including quack therapies. It aims to remove fear, prejudice and misconceptions while suggesting appropriate stance each community can take. It is in line with the precepts of all major religious faiths. We ask for everyone who attends to keep an open mind and provide comments in a respectful manner. Anyone who is disruptive, rude, etc by the moderator will be removed from the meeting.
