DESCRIPTION:Speaker : Bryan Shen\n\nBryan Shen is a Professional Counsellor
 \, Lecturer\, Trainer and Supervisor registered with the SAC. He is also a
 n independent Lay Missionary for 21 years in Thailand\, Malaysia\, Singapo
 re and Philippines. His works include dealing with Catholics\, Christians 
 and seminarians. Bryan will be touching on how family and social factors m
 ay affect a child during developmental stages and influence their attracti
 ons and identity development. The session will be broken up into 3 zoom se
 ssions\, all 8pm to 10pm\, on the following dates\, and the topics covered
  are indicated below.\nNOTE: PART 1 IS COMPULSORY IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND PA
 RT 2 AND 3\n To have more time for Q &amp\; A\, we recommend you read Brya
 n's book "The Unaffirmed Core" so you can get a deeper understanding durin
 g the sessions as we are compacting the session into 3 parts. You can ord
 er the book via Armour Publishing or the eBook version is also available.\
 nPLEASE NOTE: This talk is not pro - nor anti-LGBT\, but provides insights
  from the Psychological Sciences into the lives of people who experience h
 omosexuality in conservative communities. The talk explains why the condit
 ion is not chosen by the person who has it\, the factors that contribute t
 o it\, the various ways harm can be done including quack therapies. It aim
 s to remove fear\, prejudice and misconceptions while suggesting appropria
 te stance each community can take. It is in line with the precepts of all 
 major religious faiths. We ask for everyone who attends to keep an open mi
 nd and provide comments in a respectful manner. Anyone who is disruptive\,
  rude\, etc by the moderator will be removed from the meeting.
