SUMMARY:Week of Guided Prayer - A Retreat in Daily Life
DESCRIPTION:\nA RETREAT IN YOUR DAILY LIFE\nLearn how to pray with Scriptur
 e and experience a deeper relationship with the Lord!\nJoin us in this eas
 y\, mini retreat.  You can go about your daily routine and need not take 
 leave from work to participate. It becomes even more convenient to join in
  virtually\, rather than physically.  Just set aside half hour daily to p
 ray on your own and another half hour to meet your personal Prayer Guide o
 n mutually agreed time.  \nThe Week of Guided Prayer (WoGP) is an easy\, 
 mini retreat amidst your daily routine\, without using your vacation time!
  Lasting a week\, it begins on a Sunday afternoon (Taster session 2 to 5pm
  via zoom) when you\, the pilgrim\, will learn two prayer methods:\n1. Lec
 tio Divina\n2. Ignatian Contemplation\nEach day during the Week of Guided 
 Prayer (from Monday through Friday)\, you will pray with the Scripture pas
 sage that your prayer guide has given you. Then you can share your prayer 
 experiences with your prayer guide - how God related to you during your pr
 ayer.\nThe WoGP closes on the following Saturday afternoon (Closure sessio
 n) when we gather as a group for general sharing and fellowship.\nPROGRAMM

 STAY-IN RETREAT?\nNo. This is a retreat in daily life - you go about life 
 as normal except that you set aside a specific time during the day to pray
  and to meet with your personal prayer guide throughout this Week of Guide
 d Prayer. You do not need to take leave from work to participate. Sessions
  will be conducted via zoom\n\nDO I NEED TO CHANGE THE WAY I PRAY?\nNo. Ho
 wever\, during this Week of Guided Prayer\, another way of praying - one t
 hat is rooted in Scripture - is introduced. Those who have completed this 
 Week have found that Scripture comes alive and relevant in their daily liv
 es.\n\nIS THIS BIBLE STUDY?\nThis is not Bible study but praying with Scri
 ptures. Your prayer guide will suggest Scripture verses for you to pray wi
 th daily.\n\nWHAT BENEFITS HAVE OTHER PILGRIMS RECEIVED FROM THIS FORM OF 
 PRAYER?\nThe most common feedback after a Week of Guided Prayer is how God
  speaks to the pilgrims through the Scripture passages. Others have said t
 hat they have come closer to God. Yet others have experienced new intimaci
 es with Him and they have learned how to listen to God. Some others say th
 at they have become more disciplined in prayer. Pilgrims have also found t
 he support of their prayer guides very helpful.\n\nIS THIS RETREAT CONDUCT
 ED IN A GROUP?\nNo. Each person meets personally with his/ her prayer guid
 e for the duration of the Week of Guided Prayer. What you share with your 
 prayer guide is personal and confidential\, and you may share as much or a
 s little as you wish.\n\nWHAT WILL BE MY COMMITMENT?\nEach day you are exp
 ected to pray for half an hour with the Scripture passage that you have be
 en given. Then you can share your prayer experiences with your prayer guid
 e. The duration of this meeting is approximately half an hour.
